We have spent time looking at two giant frameworks for understanding national culture: Hofstede’s dimensions and the GLOBE study. But no model is perfect. In this chapter, we put them side by side, see where they agree and disagree, and ask a deeper question—what are they really measuring? By the end, you will be able to think critically about any cultural scorecard and know what it can and cannot tell you.
