Auditing Government and Nonprofit Entities

When a city spends tax dollars on a new park, or a charity uses donations to feed families, someone has to check that the money was used honestly and for the right purpose. That someone is the auditor. Auditing governments and nonprofits is very different from auditing a regular business, because the top priority is being accountable to the public.
