Not every integral can be solved with a simple formula. Sometimes the function is just too messy, and sometimes the interval stretches to infinity or the function itself blows up. In this chapter we learn how to get good numerical answers when exact ones are out of reach, and how to make sense of “infinite” areas that can actually be finite.
