Kynotic Academy is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Information We Collect

We collect your email address and display name when you create an account. We also collect reading progress data and bookmark preferences to enhance your experience. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe — we never store your card details.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and improve our services, manage your subscription, send transactional emails (welcome, subscription confirmations, payment receipts, trial reminders), and personalize your learning experience.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the platform: Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), and Rewardful (affiliate referral tracking).

AI Tutor Conversations

When you use Kyno AI Tutor, your messages and the related chapter content are sent to our AI infrastructure providers (OpenRouter, Inc. and its underlying model providers) to generate responses; these providers process the data on our behalf and do not use it to train models under our configuration. Your tutor conversations are stored with your account so you can continue them later — you can delete a conversation at any time with "Start fresh", and all conversations are removed when your account is deleted. We also record aggregate usage (token cost) to operate the monthly allowance.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. If you arrive through an affiliate link, our affiliate partner Rewardful sets a referral cookie so the referral can be credited. We do not use advertising cookies.
